Love leaves memories. Leave the map, too.
FinalKey Legacy Vault helps protect your digital life—from passwords and financial accounts to important documents, businesses, and personal wishes—so the people you love have answers when they need them most.
The optional FinalKey Guide inside your vault is a starting point for people who want a calmer or more accessible setup. It offers guidance when you want a little more support.
"My dad passed last year and we spent three months tracking down his accounts. I bought FinalKey the next week. Worth every cent."
"I stored my bank accounts, insurance policies, and passwords in one place. If anything happens to me, my daughter can access everything she needs."
"Trustworthy wanted $40/month. FinalKey was $245 once. Used the vault scanner to import 60 passwords in 10 minutes. Done."
Every vault entry includes a live link and stored password. That's the difference between weeks of detective work and 10 minutes. And if you run a business, you benefit right now — not just someday.
Shopify, Stripe, your hosting provider, your domain registrar, your ad platform. All your business accounts with live links you click straight to. No bookmarks, no password resets, no digging. Use it every day. Your family inherits the whole system.
If something happened to you tomorrow, could your family keep your business running?
FinalKey stores every login — Shopify, Stripe, Amazon Seller, ClickBank, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, your domain registrar, your web host. One vault. Every account. Your family can take over without missing a beat.
Tracking down bank accounts. Canceling subscriptions. Finding insurance policies. Accessing online accounts. It takes months of phone calls, paperwork, and dead ends — while grieving. FinalKey makes sure they never have to.
FinalKey protects thirteen categories of assets. Not just accounts and passwords — photos, memories, recipes, documents, and your social media presence too.
Funeral preferences, cemetery plot details, obituary instructions, memorial service plans, and personal messages to your family. Everything they need to honor your wishes — exactly as you intended them.
Living wills, DNR orders, healthcare proxy, and advance directives — everything your healthcare team needs if the worst happens.
Account numbers, routing numbers, investment portfolios, safe deposit boxes. Every entry includes a live link — tap to go straight to the bank portal. No searching, no guessing.
Policy numbers, coverage details, agent contacts, and beneficiary designations. One tap on the live link goes straight to the insurer's portal — no more wondering who to call. How to name beneficiaries → Walk through your new vault →
Every password, every account — with a live link to the site. Your family taps once and lands on the login page. No copying URLs. No Googling account portals while grieving.
Preserve family photos in named albums with stories, dates, and people tags — stored permanently alongside your financial records. Not a photo backup app. A memory vault. Decades of moments, organized and labeled the way only you can.
Wills, trusts, property deeds, tax records — and Grandma's recipes. The legal vault and the family vault in one place. Documents category holds everything that matters on paper, from estate paperwork to the recipes no one thought to write down.
Your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok — stored so heirs can memorialize, manage, or delete accounts on your behalf. Social media doesn't vanish on its own. Give your family the logins they'll need.
401(k)s, IRAs, brokerage accounts, pensions — everything your family needs to settle investment accounts. Estimated balances, account numbers, and portal logins, all in one place.
Smart doorbells, cameras, alarms, smart locks, and monitoring services. Keypad codes, monitoring account numbers, and portal logins — so your family can manage the home security system after you're gone.
Your designated contacts — spouse, attorney, estate administrator — get access to your vault the moment they need it. Organized by category. No guessing, no searching, no waiting.
Everything organized. Everything accessible. Everything they need.

The same standard used by banks and governments. Every entry in your vault is encrypted at rest.
Sensitive fields are encrypted with your credentials. We can't read your passwords even if we wanted to.
Choose exactly who sees what — your spouse, attorney, estate administrator. Granular, not all-or-nothing.
Encryption, two-factor authentication, three release triggers, and role-based access for every heir on the vault — the same controls that gate the heir view in the app.
The same standard used by banks and governments. Every vault entry — passwords, bank account numbers, policy numbers, document attachments — is encrypted with a per-entry key derived from your master password.
Vault owners can add a second factor to sign-in. Even if your password leaks, an attacker still can't open the vault without the 6-digit code your authenticator app produces.
You press the button from anywhere — from the app on a trip, from the office, or in the hospital. FinalKey emails your heirs a one-tap unlock link the moment you confirm.
If FinalKey doesn't hear from you for ~8 days, the inactivity cron fires: ~5 days of warning emails to you and your executor, then release — so a missed trip doesn't lock out your family.
You pick the day on the calendar. On that date, your heirs' invitation locks flip from "awaiting trigger" to "unlock ready" — useful for planned surgery, a long trip, or a known terminal date.
You can change or disable each trigger anytime. Default is inactivity-only.
| Heir role | What they see | Example entries |
|---|---|---|
| Medical POA | Only entries tagged medical_directive = true. |
Living will, healthcare proxy, POLST form, organ-donor cardNo bank, password, or insurance entries — even if all three are in the vault. |
| Financial POA | Only entries tagged financial_poa = true. |
Bank accounts, investment logins, brokerage passwords, tax foldersNo medical directive, no personal Photos — just the financial surface. |
| Executor | Bank accounts, investments, insurance, legal documents (Wills & Trusts). | Will, trust, retirement beneficiary statement, life-insurance policyEstate-admin scope — the categories the executor needs to settle the estate. |
| Spouse | Everything in the heir-shared set, with an optional standing-access bypass so spouse can open the heir view at any time — even before the trigger fires. | Bank accounts, insurance, legal documents, passwords, photosStanding access is on by default for the spouse role; you can disable it per vault. |
If two POA flags are set on the same heir, they see the union of medical + financial entries — matches the code at routes/access.js:268-274.
One way to import. Manual entry always welcome. One organized vault either way.
Export your saved passwords from Chrome, Firefox, or Safari and upload the CSV — FinalKey scans what you already have and does the work for you. Add the rest by hand. No manual entry required.
Banking accounts, insurance policies, payment portals, online businesses, passwords, legal documents — FinalKey recognizes 60+ patterns and sorts everything into the right vault category automatically.
See everything that was found before any data is saved. Edit categories, remove what's irrelevant, then import the rest. Your vault populates in minutes, not hours.
Choose who gets access — spouse, children, attorney, executor. Set permission levels so each person sees only what you authorize. Every entry includes a live link: they tap once and land on the bank, insurance portal, or account site. No searching. No wrong turns.

Love leaves memories. Leave the map, too.
Your vault holds everything they'll need — bank accounts, insurance, passwords, wills, medical directives, business logins, photos, and the stories only you can tell.
But a vault is only as good as its release plan. Here's how yours works:
Add the people who matter. In your vault, you can record your spouse, children, heirs, and any professionals involved in your affairs — your attorney, financial advisor, or estate planner — so everyone named in your plan is already in place before they're ever needed.
Every life tells a story. Make sure yours can still be read.
If a professional (attorney, financial advisor, estate planner, or similar) referred you to FinalKey, information confirming your enrollment may be shared with that referring professional solely to verify the referral and support your estate planning relationship. No vault contents, passwords, or personal entries are ever shared with a referring professional — only confirmation that an account was set up. You can update or remove this sharing preference at any time in your account settings.
Import your saved passwords and add accounts by hand. We find what you forgot. Your family gets everything organized — not a scavenger hunt. One payment. Protected forever. Get started for $245.
